Tasting Notes: Seedlip Grove 42 delivers vibrant, zesty notes of bitter, blood, and mandarin oranges on the nose and palate. The mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing, carrying flavors of lemongrass and a subtle warmth from ginger, all balanced by a distinct, dry finish imparted by Japanese sansho peppercorn. This non-alcoholic spirit offers a complex and sophisticated experience, best enjoyed as a cocktail base where its unique botanical character can shine when mixed with a premium tonic or soda water.
Estate History: Seedlip was founded by Ben Branson in 2014, combining his family's 300-year farming heritage in Lincolnshire, England, with a 17th-century book titled The Art of Distillation (published in 1651 by John French) that documented non-alcoholic herbal remedies. Inspired by these recipes and frustrated by the lack of sophisticated non-alcoholic drink options, Branson began experimenting with copper pot distillation in his kitchen. The company uses a six-week bespoke process to individually macerate and distill high-quality botanicals sourced from a network of farmers before blending and bottling them in England, a method designed to capture nature's flavor without the alcohol.
