Tasting Notes: The Aldo Conterno Langhe Nebbiolo Il Favot is from Barolo vines no older than 15 years located in Monforte d’Alba. Aged in new barriques, the wine shows a pretty floral black cherry nose, tinged by a note of orange blossom. The palate shows moderate tannins framed by the richness of the wood and the heat of the vintage.
Estate History: Aldo Conterno, the son of famous Barolo producer Giacomo Conterno, after a trip to America, decided to start his own winery in 1969. He purchased the Favot estate, now run by his three sons, Franco, Stefano and Giacomo.
