Tasting Notes: The Alois Lageder 'Lowengang' Chardonnay is a stunning example of the potential for burgundian varietals in the Alto Adige. This biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified vineyard expresses itself in a a very classical wine with initial notes of lemon, lemongrass, pineapple and green apple. These primary fruit notes slowly evolve into very integrated and long lasting barrel notes of vanilla, coconut and brioche and make this wine both very approchable now, but also give it great potential for age.
