Estate History: Michele Chiarlo founded his eponymous estate in 1956, establishing his base in Calamandrana in the heart of the Langhe and Monferrato hills, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A forward-thinking pioneer, Chiarlo was one of the first winemakers to passionately advocate for the quality and potential of Piedmontese wines on the international stage. Over several decades, the estate has meticulously acquired some of the region's most prestigious cru vineyards in Barolo and Barbaresco, as well as those dedicated to Moscato d'Asti. Today, the estate is managed by Michele's sons, Stefano and Alberto, continuing the family's dedication to quality, sustainability, and respecting the unique terroir of their vineyards.
