Tasting Notes: The San Salvatore Trentenare Fiano is a white wine made from the Fiano grape variety grown in the Campania region of southern Italy. It is a dry wine with a pale straw color and aromas of citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit, as well as hints of honey and floral notes. On the palate, San Salvatore Trentenare Fiano is crisp and refreshing with a good acidity and a medium body. The wine offers flavors of citrus fruits, green apple, and a touch of minerality that provides a pleasant balance and a long finish.
Estate History: San Salvatore is in the heart of the Cilento National Park, near Paestum, Stio and Giungano, in Campania. With 149 hectares devoted to organically farmed agriculture, San Salvatore has quickly become one of Italy's most environmentally-concious azienda agricolas. In 2006 Giuseppe Pagano, created San Salvatore from a series of unique plots of land in Cilento and various vineyards across the region. The winery is named for Giuseppe's firstborn son, Salvatore, who was born in 1988.
