Tasting Notes: The Tommaso Bussola Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigneto Alto TB is the top wine of the estate, a blend of 45% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, and 25% Rondinella grapes from 80 year old vines originating from the esteemed “Vigneto Alto” vineyard in San Peretto di Negrar,that sit at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level. The 90-month aging process, beginning with 40 months in new 2.25 Hl barriques, followed by 50 months in 25 Hl barrels, adds layers of depth to the wine, with chocolate, berries, violets, and tobacco notes all nicely melding together with balanced acidity and a deep, lush finish.
