Tasting Notes: The Trediberri Barolo is from Nebbiolo grown in two MGA's located in La Morra; 80% from Berri and 20% Capalot that age for 23 months in barrel. After a rush of bright cherry and wild berry flavors on the palate, the wines classic structure comes into focus, presenting a Barolo of substance, power and elegance. The finish has the dried mint and menthol overtones that persist while the acidity kicks in creating the desire to indulge in another taste, and another. Aromatically the wine leaps from the glass with rose petal, and dried herb notes, especially after being open for 30 minutes and poured into large burgundy stems.
Estate History: The energetic and personable Nicola Oberto along with his father Federico and family friend Vladimiro Rambaldi produce wines from vineyards in the hamlet Berri of La Morra under the name Trediberri; the three guys from Berri. The wines are produced with enthusiasm and focus on terroir and drinkability. Trediberri own approximately 6 hectares, entirely within the boundaries of Barolo, in the village of La Morra. The long-term objective is to remain artisanal vintners in order to create likable wines, without adopting the style of the moment. The wines reflect harmony and elegance of La Morra terroir by showcasing smooth tannins and high drinkability.
