Tasting Notes: This bottling of 100% hand-harvested Merlot comes from the single vineyard "Campo del Viotto" only in select years with the finest fruit of the vintage. The first whole clusters harvested are dried out for about 20 days, then de-stemmed and transferred to small open-top oak barrels for fermentation. The whole clusters from the second harvest are immediately de-stemmed and placed in small open-top oak barrels for fermentation. The taste is intense on the palate, with soft sweet tannins and a spiced persistent finish.
